Job QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must have 2-10 years of experience as a patent attorney with either an advanced degree in organic chemistry or at least 5 years industrial experience in small molecule design/development, or related field of endeavor. Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

McCarter & English, LLP is actively seeking a chemistry patent associate with an advanced degree in chemistry. The candidate may be based in any of our offices (Boston, Hartford, Stamford, New York, Newark, East Brunswick, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Washington DC, Indianapolis, or Miami).

Ideal candidates should have 2-10 years of experience as a patent attorney with either an advanced degree in organic chemistry or at least 5 years industrial experience in small molecule design/development, or related field of endeavor. Candidates should be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and possess excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
